1. 엘살바도르, IMF의 비트코인 사용중단 권고 거부

 - IMF는 엘살바도르 정부에게 비트코인 사용중단을 권고

 - 엘살바도르 정부는 내정간섭에 대해 거부반응을 보이며, 이를 거부

 - 비트코인 시티 추진 등으로 국운을 건 대규모 사업들이 진행중인데, 결과가 기대됨. 현재는 비트코인 시세가 약세로 비트코인 투자에 대한 부정적인 의견도 존재하나, 성공한다면 엘살바도르라는 국가는 21세기 경제적 가장 크게 도약한 국가가 될수도 있다.

 

The government of El Salvador has responded to the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) recommendation to drop the use of Bitcoin as legal tender, per the Associated Press. 

“No international organization is going to make us do anything, anything at all,” Treasury Minister Alejandro Zelaya said, adding on a local television station that Bitcoin as legal tender was an issue of sovereignty for El Salvador. 

 

2. Bitfinex에서 도난당한 $2.5B BTC가 전송됨

 - 2016년 암호화폐 거래소인 Bitfinex에서 도난당했던 BTC가 해커의 지갑에 이동

 - 총 64,641BTC가 이동하였으며, 이는 약 $2.5B에 해당하는 금액

 - 대체로 지갑이동은 매도목적으로 추정되며, 투기적 투자자는 비트코인 약세를 우려함 

 

A chunk of the inactive Bitcoins (BTC) stolen in the 2016 Bitfinex exchange hack has moved from the hacker’s wallets to an unknown wallet on Tuesday, as detected by blockchain analytics bot Whale Alerts.

Twenty transactions involving the stolen Bitcoins were flagged. A sum of 64,641.29 BTC, worth almost $2.5 billion at the time of writing, was moved. This is more than half of the total amount seized by the hackers, which is estimated to be around 120,000 BTC.

 

3. Solana, 솔라나 페이(Solana Pay) 출시

 - 솔라나는 Solana Pay를 통해서 솔라나 네트워크 확장을 꾀함

 - 암호화폐 결제를 용이하게 하며, Checkout.com, Circle, Citcon 등과 협업하여 서비스 출시

 - 암호화폐 거래소 FTX, Solana Wallet인 Phantom, Slope에 통합된 기능으로 도입

 - 이제는 암호화폐가 투기자산을 넘어서, 실용화폐 경쟁이 시작된 것 같다. 결국 암호화폐의 본질은 커뮤니티(Community)의 상호주관적 실재라는 인식인데, 네트워크가 확대되고 널리 쓰일수록 그 인식은 강화될 것이며 지속가능성도 높아진다.

 

Cryptocurrency’s original use case – payments – is getting a boost on the Solana blockchain.

New software co-developed by Solana Labs intends to help merchants accept crypto payments over the Solana network. Checkout.com, Circle and Citcon are supporting “Solana Pay,” which debuted Tuesday with integrations with crypto exchange FTX and ecosystem wallets Phantom and Slope.
